Phyllorachis är ett monotypiskt släkte i familjen gräs. Släktet har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i västcentrala tropiska Afrika, östra tropiska Afrika och södra tropiska Afrika.

Phyllorachis innehåller arter som är tuvbildande, fleråriga örter som har lansettformade blad. Bladen utvecklas både vid basen och utmed strået och blir från 15 till 25 millimeter breda. Plantan utvecklar ett upprättväxande, ledat strå som blir från 60 till 120 centimeter långt. Strået är ihåligt och i änden av strået utvecklas en blomställning. Blommorna sitter i småax som i sin tur har en blomställning likt ett ax.

Systematik

Det vetenskapliga namnet Phyllorachis fick släktet av Henry Trimen i publikationen Journal of botany Vol. 17 när den gavs ut 1879. Typart för släktet är Phyllorachis sagittata.
