Nastus är ett släkte i familjen gräs och består av cirka 12 arter. Släktet har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i västra Indiska oceanen.
Nastus innehåller fleråriga växter som har lansettformade blad. Bladen utvecklas vid lederna utmed strået och blir från 3 till 30 millimeter breda. Plantan utvecklar ett upptättväxande, ledat och vedartat strå som blir från 800 till 1000 centimeter långt. Strået är ihåligt och vid lederna utvecklas, tillsammans med bladen, en blomställning. Blommorna sitter i småax som i sin tur har en blomställning likt en vippa.

Systematik
Det vetenskapliga namnet Nastus fick släktet av Antoine Laurent de Jussieu i publikationen Genera plantarum när den gavs ut 1789. Typart för släktet är Nastus borbonicus.
