Apodanthaceae är en familj med parasiter som växer på värdväxtens stammar eller rötter så att endast de små blommorna syns. Resten av parasiten består av ett rotsystem som liknar svampmycel och detta finns inuti värdväxten.

Tidigare var den systematiska placeringen av denna familj osäker men APG IV har placerat den i Cucurbitales.
