Bulbophyllum apiferum är en art i bulbofyllumsläktet och familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i städsegröna skogar längs bergssluttningar på höjder från 800 till 1500 meter i Laos, på Malackahalvön, i Thailand och Vietnam.

B. apiferum är små örter som är epifyta med ett sympodialt växtsätt och har pseudobulber. Arten bildar små tuvor med hjälp av rhizomer mellan pseudobulberna. Bladen är elliptiska och ett ensamt blad utvecklas ur pseudobulben. Blomman är lila och blir upp till 0,7 centimeter i diameter. Den utvecklas på ett blomskaft som blir 12 till 15 centimeter långt. Från 12 till 14 blommor utvecklas samtidigt på samma blomskaft, arrangerade likt ett ax, upprättväxande från basen av stammen.

B. apiferum trivs bäst i full skugga och en genomsnittlig nattemperatur från 15 till 24°C. Blomning sker från vintern till våren.
